Getting rid of unwanted hair is an age-old issue, with long-term hair removal being particularly challenging. People who suffer from excess hair used to go through painful and long hours of waxing and plucking. Alas, these methods have become quite obsolete with modern laser technology.

Unlike shaving, waxing, sugaring or other temporary methods to reduce facial and body hair, laser hair removal does not target the hair itself, but instead targets the hair follicle.  Alma’s Super Hair Removal (SHR) method works by gradually heating the dermis to a temperature that effectively damages the hair follicles and prevents re-growth while preventing injury to the surrounding tissues. 

The sweeping In-Motion™ technique used with SHR involves moving the applicator repeatedly over the treatment area, applying energy over a large grid. Energy is delivered beneath the surface of the skin to seek out and permanently destroy the hair follicles, thus disabling their ability to grow hair where it is unwanted.   Simultaneous contact cooling prevents burns and allows for more comfortable treatment, while a specialized applicator allows treatment of large areas in less time. This ensures a smooth coverage during the treatment, which significantly enhances results.

Treatment is re-applied (if there are no adverse reactions) at 6-8 week intervals.examination and additional treatment, if required. However, you need to avoid sun exposure after and in between treatments.
